Based at Kranz Intermediate School in El Monte, Kranz Sports Club has built a solid program, attracting hundreds of soccer-crazy kids. The club is home to abundant playing fields and hosts KIS' annual soccer tournament. The club initially offered soccer year-round, but in recent seasons has expanded to include basketball and T-ball. This summer KIS is hoping Kranz will introduce baseball and softball. Kranz works in close cooperation with both the Mountain View School District and the Bassett Unified School District, while servicing residents from both districts. The club has a strong clinic division of 5- to 7-year-olds, which brings out dozens of their parents to watch.
