The Vermont Sports Club is based in the Exposition Park neighborhood at the EXPO Center. Nearly 1,500 boys and girls participate in their leagues. The club includes youth from a dozen neighboring schools and organizations, including the USC Family of Schools, the St. Francis Center, A Place Called Home, The Accelerated School and has strong relationships with Manual Arts High School and nearby University of Southern California. Vermont was KIS' first school-based club and home of the original GIRLS Program. Vermont still fields a strong girls' league, with 500 girls who play all sports and many women coaches and officials to support them. Look for more and more co-sponsored programs in the future as their partnership with the City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks staff located on site continues to blossom.
