Based at Adventure Park and the Los Nietos Middle School in Whittier, the Los Nietos Mighty Eagles have experienced huge growth since it came on board in 1997, increasing to over 500 boys and girls this year. With KIS' largest co-ed division of 5- to 7-year-olds, family participation in regular parent meetings and coaches training sessions is high. More than 70 mothers and fathers volunteer as coaches, team parents, club advisory board members and program coordinators. Running two seasons of basketball, as well as baseball, volleyball, softball and soccer programs hundreds more fill the playing fields and stands to watch games and clinics on Saturday mornings. This sense of family, both on the field and off, makes the Sports Club special.
