Over 8,000 children a year ....have access to the personal development and life skills that uniquely come from participation in affordable team sports activities through Kids in Sports.

KIS builds communities "one team at a time" by creating partnerships through Sports Councils that bring together neighborhood leaders, City Park officials, schools, coaches and parents.
In 1996, KIS initiated the Girls In Recreation, Leadership & Sports (G.I.R.L.S.) Program to recruit and attract young girls to the sports clubs. Unique features of this program include low cost registration, all-girl teams, women coaches, and all-girl practices and competitions.
Kids In Sports (KIS) is a nonprofit public charity whose mission is to provide high quality, affordable sports opportunities for underserved youth while encouraging community and family involvement through the formation and management of neighborhood sports clubs in Los Angeles County.
